Fern's De-stash Jacket

I have challenged myself to not buy anything new  for my art and craftwork  until I have made at least a dozen items using stuff squirelled away in my 'stash' Who laughed?
This is item number one, a granny square jacket for my granddaughter Fern Elizabeth.
I shall show all the things I make here on my blog. I have had this beautiful cotton yarn for a few months  so this was at the top of the yarn pile. I didn't use a pattern. I am currently trying to crochet a little teddy out of the left over cotton.
I made some test squares

Fern was not keen on being photographed.

  2. Howdy,

I picked up crochet again (after a 50 year hiatus) last holiday season, but I've never tackled granny squares. Wild color scheme - I really like the orange and green, my faves!

Would love for you to visit my blog when you have a moment or 2.

    Peace,
